A question to those who've owned this bag... how durable is it. I need a duffel that can withstand some extreme situations. It needs to carry 50lbs and get man-handled every day. This doesn't look suitable, but I'm looking at all options. Does this use bartacking for any of the handle stitching? Is the material thin like denim jeans or thick like canvas?

Die hard fan for Mystery Ranch rucks. ROUS, 6500 etc. They are ridiculously well-made and most comfortable ruck I ever used.
They are obviously buy once product. Sadly I paid full price for this.
If cash is short I would recommand GTFO duffel for from FC. Another no brainier go to brand for durability and price.
They are superbly made, not at quality level of Mystery Ranch (so as friendlier price) but it serve me well.

This is also perfect for motorcycle too when I went on long ride.
Also, if someone saw Mystery Ranch brand on your backpack it can get stolen easily, I don't know why (why not go for LV/Gucci? how they know?).
I go so far to remove all brand tag when I prep them.

This very same bag is on their website at $130 ... Here the price is listed at $298... making it a huge discount... This makes me trust Massdrop pricing much less.

It is still a problem that the normal price is listed as 298 when the manufacturer sell the exact same bag at 130 without any kind of discount

BofrIf they go on the information from the manufacturer, then that's not an issue with falsification on their part. MSRP is fraught with all sorts of problems. My best advice is to do your due diligence on any drop (or when buying anything).

In what world is $289 the price? This is false advertising. The list price for the 40l is $130. You shouldn’t have to mislead customers to generate orders. Very disappointing. This is coming from a big MD fan.
