Made to hold all the essentials for a full day at the climbing crags or on the trail, the Mystery Ranch Scree works just as well for a minimalist overnight backpacking trip. bgbrix3I'm going to guess that there are a lot of "hipster" type clients on this site. The products, site, integration, interaction... this all appeals to people who want to feel good about their purchases and involvement, both on- and off-line.
This place feels more about appearances than application. I'm guessing that you and I are more about function (and that involves cost). There's nothing "glamorous" about buying the exact same pack on clearance from the manufacturer site.
Also, why MR might make great stuff, I think my next pack purchase will be from Hill People Gear. (no affiliation on my part, just looks like it would work for me)
I consistently am confused about the massdrop model, but it appears to be working, so good for them! Someone's gotta fleece the sheep. Better MD than amazon... (tho I think MD is about to be acquired by amazon, like Woot! was, as an outlet store)
I have owned this pack for nearly 2 years now. Best day pack i have ever owned. The tri-zip design works really well, you can get to stuff on the bottom of your pack without taking anything else out. I recently hiked quandry peak with extra water and clothing and you forget you have it on your back. I own 3 mystery ranch packs along with some ultralight packs. The mystery ranch packs weigh more but they carry a load so much better than other packs i have tried. Te construction is also great, they will last a lifetime.

Pretty cool that all three pictures of the pack show the same angle.. oh, wait..
BlindJusticeI agree with you. How are there no pictures of the backpack open so we can seee how well it will hold our gear/stuff? Seems very strange to me.
