If you're thinking to buy the pen for a christmass present, beware! Namisu is known to have some serious and worrisome delays, so level your expectations accordingly. Also, if you are glad that they are answering your questions below, also beware, before purchase they have great communication, but once they get your money you get the cold shoulder. Radio silence is their company policy, but their pens are really nice once (or if) they are made.

NamisuI am talking about Namisu as a company, not Namisu as a Massdrop account. I have purchased from you by your website and by kickstarter to and I did recieved an update from you stating that there will be shipment delays because you won't receive more nibs until late December, so I think it's not an overreach to tell people to be wary of posible delays with your company. Also, if the communication claims are unwarranted you might wanna answer all the questions you are getting from instagram, facebook and kickstarter, in which the main complain is the lack of communication. It seems to obey the same pattern: Before purchase questions where answered within the hour, after paying we got radio silence and month delay updates on the day of expected shipping. In all fairness I can also attest to your quality product, which I really like and use daily, but anyone with access to google can attest that my communication claims are all but unwarranted.

RadilI'm also on the Kickstarter as mentioned. I don't think you can blame the company for contracted nib production delays. Namisu does not make nibs in house, and with orders like that you're at the mercy of the external company. They could have chosen to source from other producers but instead stood behind the integrity of their product. The delay is not a major one, and part of the Kickstarter experience.
If you had holiday gift plans through kickstarter that's simply a planning mistake. I've made that mistake myself, and the KS I was on wound up delivering 8 months late (not Namisu, not stationary or EDC). That's just how it goes.

LarenF3D5You are right Laren, you can't blame them for the nib delay, which is why I'm not doing that, I'm not new at massdrop/kickstarter delays either. I am blaming them for the lack of communication, and that's 100% in their hands. Also, I'm not saying not to buy the product, I love the product, I am only stating 2 facts. 1. This might be delayed, because they have a large backorder and a bottleneck with the nib manufacturer, so be careful if you are planning to get it for the holidays. 2. There's a history of bad communitation in the company, so keep that in mind if that's something you need or appreciate. I state both points with firm reasons and I believe that it's important information so someone doesn't make a planning mistake like you did, if you don't mind the possibility of waiting a while or not being answered later, then this message is not useful to you and by all means buy it, this is an awesome drop, I have 2 Novas myself and they are really good.

RadilFor sure. I can't speak to customer service/support as I had no issues with my copper nova or its bock bold nib (except that I apparently can't deal with bolds, but that's on me).
I really want a Nova, but the sound of anodized threads really grates on me.

The drops will be fulfilled on time, as they have always been, given that Massdrop stock is reserved months in advance and come from production runs that were completed 6-12 months ago.
We provide excellent customer service and after-sales support, so customers of this drop can rest assured that we will support them if the need arises.

NamisuI'm really sorry Mr, I mean no offense, but I'm really confused by your last comment. Of course, I do not work there, nor I know all of your supply and production problems, I am talking about my experience with your company as a costumer. I don't know if it's fair for you to say that my experience is invalid because I don't work there. If you have bad communication with costumers, those costumers will talk to their communities about it, being massdrop, instagram, or forums. I don't think trying to invalidate those experiences with "you don't work here so you don't really know" will have the effect that you are looking for. Anyway, I sincerely hope this and your other drops/sales go without a problem and that you improve your communication with your costumers.

STINGFANMassdrop ships these pens, we just send them the stock necessary for the drop, so you might want to contact them regarding shipping or tracking issues. I can confirm that we sent them the stock to them ahead of schedule.

STINGFANAs mentioned, Namisu was able to get this shipment to us ahead of schedule, but there were some delays getting through customs on our end. This just cleared though, so should be shipping out to you next week right after the holiday, at the latest. Thanks for your patience!
