More than just a powerbank, the Naztech Volt is like an on-the-go generator. It’s equipped with a massive 27,000 mAh battery and four different connections including a USB-C, Quick-Charge 3.0, and 5V/2A Read More
I'm a wireless network engineer for a Houston area hospital and carry a laptop around that is constantly running battery hungry survey programs. In a 10 hour shift I would lose 1.5 hours to charging my laptop, with this battery I can use my laptop the whole shift with out having to recharge.
Hey man, most likely the power draw is just too much for the battery. I use a Microsoft surface for work which pulls relatively little power. I tried using my friends gaming laptop on it and the inverter would shut itself off as soon it was plugged in.
Took a ~two week trip to Asia right after the pack arrived and charged my phone nearly exclusively from this battery pack while i was there, and it lasted all the way until the last day! So great for travel! However, it tends to get your bags searched at airport security if you leave it inside your bag, so put it in its own bin like you would a laptop and you’ll see no problems.
For some reason, the USB-C port doesn't get along well with my laptop. Apart from that, a good "range extender" - my wife uses it with her "bricks" and the AC plug, so that still works nicely.
Phenomenal. I have used this battery several times to completion and charged 2 iPhones several times each. This is the absolute best portable charging solution out there, and I look forward to continually using it in the future.
Charger arrived DOA. I have no idea if the product even works because I cannot charge it. Unfortunately I did not open the product when it was delivered and Massdrop is now hiding behind their 30 day policy and have offered no assistance for the defective product I purchased from them. I was under the impression that Massdrop was curating quality products for purchase. I now see that this is not the case. Massdrop has lost my trust.
ATAineriDOA=dead on arrival. Didn’t work when he first tried it.
RMA=return merchandise authorization. Sometimes you need permission from the manufacturer to return items and they will provide and RMA code to include with your item.
pierrenCall 661-310-1000 ext 100 ask for Lia. She should help. Tell her that you contacted Naztech but no response so she can fix the issue with Naztech.
AC outlet doesnt charge my laptop.
I have a MacBook Pro and this doesnt charge the laptop. It keeps flipping to charged then uncharged so doesnt seem like it has enough umph (not sure what the technical term is) to keep charging it.
It would also be nice if I could just use the USB-C to charge my laptop so I dont need to carry my charger as well, but that doesnt work either. Its fine it doesnt, but was just surprised.
When I first got it, it was great. It lasted for a long time and was very convenient. Then I used the AC plug to charge my laptop. After that, the battery wouldn't charge beyond one dot and only lasted for about 50% charge on a phone for each charge. By this point, I was outside the warranty, and Massdrop support basically told me that they couldn't help me, which is understandable. I tried Naztech support in case there was a fix (since there was someone on Amazon with the same problem, so I know it wasn't just me) and they haven't gotten back to me for about a week.
Edit: Massdrop saw this post and got in touch with Naztech. I called their customer service line, and apparently on very early batches, using the AC port short circuited the cable. They're sending me another cable, which they say should theoretically fix the problem. Updating my review to three stars- it's a five star product if the cable fixes it.
Edit2: didn't work. Back down to one star.
BartoloColon40How long have you had the Volt? Like any built-in power supply products (car battery, iPhone, Samsung etc) the lithium or polymer batteries will wear in time and the storage capacity will not hold as it did when new, power banks are no different. Most high-end PB's will last up to 300-400 recharge capacity. Call customer support at 661-310-1000 / extension 100 and ask for customer support to see if they can help you.
Purchased two of these and on both units USB-C does NOT work to charge my iPad Pro. Contacted Naztech and never received a response, so I am stuck using either a USB-USB-C dongle or AC power, which works fine. Very disappointing...
