Rick Haney's designs are instantly recognizable and we appreciate Massdrop's enthusiasm in their description. The blade rides on caged pivot bearings and with chamfered liners and scales Rick's ergo's are much better than one would expect at first glance. Like the Holey Moley, we hope you give it a try.

Looks kinda interesting, but tip down only carry is a deal breaker for me.

Hmm. Shouldn’t that be the Vertabra?
All levity aside, this “awe-inspiring” design should be a little more ... inspiring. Although, to be honest, it looks as though it should inspire a number of hot spots, which would indeed be awful.

Hmm, so I own knives from three Chinese manufacturers. Kizer, Bestech, and Nemesis. Both the Kizer and the Bestechs are phenomenally well built for the price, and those brands have earned my trust. However, I am on the fence about the Nemesis (Mar Private Reserve VG-10 Titanium Lockback).
One one hand, the 80ish dollars I paid seems like a good value for titanium and vg-10, and it has one of the prettiest blade profiles I've seen. One the other, it has what look to be teflon washers, which is disappointing, given that bronze washers would not have added much to the cost.
I quite like the handle on this, but at $60 I need it to have bronze washers at a minimum. Does anyone have intimate experience with this knife, or other knives by Nemesis? And is their use of teflon typical, or just an unfortunate feature of the one I have?

Agreed. It’s a quirky not-so-little thing, but not awe-inspiring.

I understand marketing, but seriously - "awe-inspiring"? Anyone feel a sense of awe here?
