I don't see any reason for this being over $30. It's a quartz wall clock. I'm just being realistic.
If you need a nice wall clock that actually has a quality Japanese movement with a _sweep_ seconds hand, is quiet, and has lume for nighttime, a Seiko QXA521JLH can be had for under $50.

ScottI'm afraid these are my exact same feelings. It's a plain-looking quartz wall clock. What qualities does this have that makes it worth $100 (let alone $143)? I'm sure the quiet second hand is nice... but not a hundred-bucks-nice.

Dankki have a beautiful quartz wall clock with all white face and aluminum housing, white raised typeface. $30. if this thing has the same innards then they're charging a lot for the paint job.

From a description I found on another site, it's 'imported' (so likely China made), and advertises a 'silent sweep' which I believe means the second hand is in continuous motion, not stepped motion.
