In regards to safety, I've never had a strap come undone or fall off my wrist or anything without me deliberately doing so. I wear mine motorcycling, at the gym, and everywhere in between.

RoshmanNo pardon necessary! It's an homage of a Panerai Radiomir I had made overseas. Hardly commonplace :P But it accepts the 24mm Redux strap beautifully!
