Got my EA41 just now. First impression, well built. Works as advertised. The UI will take some time to get used to. It works, it's just different from my other Nitecore lights. It's also smaller than I was expecting. Update: it's a pretty good thrower. No problem lighting up the top of a 50' Palm tree about 150 feet away. The spill is not as bright as my EAX, but it did a good job in the narrower beam of the EA41. Reasonably happy so far. The EA41 complements my other lights. I'm using Costco packaged Eneloops for fuel.

AmafanPretty good for the price and I got a second as a gift. It's bright, but still getting used to the controls.

A quick update for you all! We've been in touch with the vendor and they've let us know that they are still working hard to gather and package the units for individual shipment to each of you. They anticipate everything shipping out by early next week and we will be sure to update you all again as soon as we receive confirmation the orders have gone out.

Has the heatsinking been improve from the old EA4's ? i had 2 of them overheat and burnout on me with only moderate use after 4 weeks for the first on and 7 weeks for the second there was no third i took the refund.

It's a go! The order for the Nitecore EA41 Flashlight was placed just after the drop came to an end. Now our vendor will be working hard to prepare it for shipment to each of you.

Nobody is using AA batteries in my country thesedays so I am not going to purchase this flashlight, but that does not make this drop a nice deal.
Nitecore is doing a major update on almost all of their flashlights including 18650 taking ones. I hope I could see more 2014 versions of Nitecore torches on Massdrop at reasonable price points like this drop.

AmafanNo worries, as there are plenty of primary AA and AAA cells available on the market in my country, and in any other country on earth I believe.
I was talking about rechargeables. The market of rechareables has been moving toward Lithiums so that NiMHs are very hard to find and not cheap like they were a few years ago.
