Anybody understand the trick to the rotary switch on this thing? Sometimes when it's moved, the brightness level doesn't change, keep moving it and it skips level(s). So, for example, it's at level 3, one click counterclockwise, no change, one more click and it's at level 5.
Am I missing something, or do I have a defective flashlight? Thanks.

A quick update for you all! We've been in touch with the vendor and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and individually package each unit for shipment directly to each of you. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as we receive confirmation that everything has shipped.

It's a go! The order for the Nitecore P36 Flashlight was placed just after the drop came to an end. Now our vendor will be working hard to prepare it for shipment to each of you.
As soon as we receive word from the vendor about the shipping schedule, we will update you all with that information.

I have both. Why because I'm nuts I guess. I love good lights and living in earthquake country and being a bit of a prepper, you just can't have too many. Anyway, both are very nice lights. The Hammer is a bit heavier and feels bigger in the hand. Beam is cooler than the P36 and throwier, if that's a word. The P36 beam is warm and has a more conventional central bright spot and fill. The Hammer with its dual emitters is very good at area lighting because the emitters are not concentric and have plenty of side fill in spite of the narrower, but brighter hotspot. I got the Hammer because I wanted a good light I could run on AA primaries in a pinch. I got the P36 because I liked the idea of the rotary dial UI. The P36 has replaced my Fenix TK35 which is almost the same physical dimensions. No regrets on either purchase.
