Can we get this back on with zealios instead of kailh?
I wish switch testers would stop including Kailh switches and use something different like zealios.
Hope we get another drop soonn.
Anyone know what size the o-rings are?
Is there a diagram anywhere of the layout of the switches on the tester? I can tell which color is which from the images, but not the brands.

The switches have the names of the manufacturer on the top. The way mine arrived was top row Cherry, second row Cherry (excluding plus key), third and fourth rows Gateron (excluding enter key), bottom row kailh, plus and enter kailh. Hope this helps.
Do the ABS keycaps only come in blue and white, as pictured?
neither of my pcbs do anything upon usb power
For those that have the PCB, I have one too, just wondering if anyone has tried putting in the LEDs. Curious if there is any control on them either if they work.
Edit: Just noticed there are new revisions to the PCB, anything I should know about them? I purchased mine last July. Too many pages to read through lol. TY in advance.
Has anyone gotten stabilizers for this to use as a numpad? I'm not sure which I should be buying and the first I tried did not fit.
csullivan
It should be costar style stabilizers. And 2U spacing.
If anyone has a spare V3 PCB they don't want, I'll buy it off you.
I received a delivery this week. Will soon test. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
Finally got around to soldering the V3 PCB, and it turns out the enter key doesn't function. I desoldered and resoldered in a different switch, which didn't help, and there are no apparent damaged traces or diodes. Pretty disappointing; I fell back on the V1 PCB. While it's a piece of junk with 1 key rollover, it at least has all working keys.
Got mine this week as well. If anyone doesn't want their v1 board email me hondacb7 at gmail com

At cursory glance it looks like there are now diodes, but the vertical two-unit key switch footprints are still at a right angle from where they should be for compatibility with the costar-style stabilizers that the plate/frame supports.
Just had my new PCB arrive. V3. SMD SoC looks like it was hand soldered on one side. Haven't tested. Production/design date is 20160316. Looks the same as the V1 I already soldered onto the NPKC. And I don't have the tools to desolder that much.

Ditto on receiving a v3. I haven't had time to compare the two, but I'll try to take a closer look this evening.
Just received an email that a shipment has been sent out to me. PCB v2.0 should be on the way.
We would like to inform you that the vendor has shipped us the Version 2 PCB. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive 4/22. As soon as the shipment arrives to our warehouse we will ship out the new version PCB out to the group.
Thank you for your patience. Expect an update from us on 4/27 or sooner if something comes up.
If you have any questions, please visit our Help Center (https://massdrop.com/helpcenter).

Today is 4/29. but...
So our V2.0 PCB is on the way?
Yeah this would be great if there was an update about the v2 pcb. I know that the drop for the switch tester just ended, I am sure that there has been some sort of word about NPKC sending a few extra pcbs with the drop that just ended, why I haven't heard anything about it confuses me. I understand that things get crazy, but just saying that I haven't been pushed off and forgotten would be nice, massdrop.

You've not been forgotten!

Awesome! I just realized I soldered my v1.0 PCB to my switches. Time to get the Hakko back out!
Any updates on the replacements PCB for those who received V1.0? It's been a radio blackout ever since I received the e-mail informing me that the issue had been noticed. At this point, any sort of ETA would be cool!

My guess is MD is waiting for the other NPKC Switch Tester drop to complete and the those replacement PCB together. Doubt they will specially order replacement just for us.
Other drop will complete in a day or two, we might get update then. I hope...
krisst
I hope so too! If that's the case, we could at least be informed though
I see in the e-mail that you have identified the affected customers and will be messaging them with shipping info. I have not been contacted other than the original e-mail and as evidenced from the commentary below, I would have been left out in the cold if I relied on the information within the e-mail... When will these be being shipped?.. another less than positive massdrop purchase

My bad, thanks, will watch out for the e-mail

No worries! We want to make sure everyone is taken care of.
I received it today and the PCB was V1. I got the mail about this issue couple of days ago, yet i'm not in USA so I don't know how this will do. anyway, It would be best for me with option 3;; Anyway, should I contact the helpdesk by my self?
I got a PCB v1.0 too. Anyway, I sent email to helpdesk. (I am frustrated.)

We were informed of by several members participated within this drop that Version 1 PCB was sent out incorrectly instead of Version 2. We have identified the group of people that are affected by this hiccup. In the meantime, the vendor is currently working on another production run of the replacement PCB and we’ll be shipping the replacement PCB out to everyone as soon as possible.
We understand this is rather undesirable and we sincerely apologize for this hiccup. If there’s anything else we can help you with, please feel free to reach out to us via the support page.
Also received v1.0 board and not too pleased about it. Hopefully they will get us v2.0 boards sent out in a reasonable amount of time.....
So I got the V1 board. Massdrop just got back with me. I can get $10 refunded and kee the v1. Refund the whole thing and send it all back. Or send it all back and wait while they are contacting the vendor to see if they can get the V2 board. Ugh. Those don't seem like solutions at all. Is the v1 that useless? What are my other options?
nyintx
The support gave me 2 options, refund $10 or wait for them to contact the vendor for news regarding the v2.0. As far as sending back the whole kit or v1.0 pcb, that's just silly imo. Someone messed up the pcb. Maybe it is only me, I am under the impression that they are going to sent us the fixed pcb, v2.0. Instead we got the older version. If we weren't told that this drop is v2.0 pcb, I wouldn't have ordered pcb.
Anyways, I replied support that I would like to have v2.0 pcb if possible. I understand that they do not have confirmation from the vendor yet. So we will have to wait and see.
I do have a few more drops waiting to be shipped from MD, they could pack the replacement pcb with the shipment to save some cost for their side.

yeah I want the V2 as well, but from what I'm gathering from the options it didn't seem like that was going to happen...or at least not happen any time soon. I would think the vendor would just ship out the v2 as promised. it's not our fault, yet we're only getting penalizing options to solve. without the board I'm out more money and time to find another solution. did anyone get v2 boards? or are we just an unlucky few
Yeah, seems to be some sort of mixup judging from all the reports. If you are affected, please reach out to support from your transactions tab. They'll help sort you out.

Nope, please keep those. Also, everyone affected should have received an email about this drop.

Sounds good, I did receive this email so this is good to hear.
I got a v1 PCB as well. Also the description said that for $0.75 21 o-rings will be shipped. I opted in and see that o-rings are installed, but there is just one per key, so it's only 17 of them and not 21. Not a huge deal but still...
olbez
Double check the white keys. They have three stems and mine came with o-rings on the extra stems. So 23 o-rings in all.
v1.0 PCB. Anyone received an updated version ? I doubt it even exists.
v1.0 PCB here too... :-\
