Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. Opened it today, and I got some bad news for those of us looking to swap opamps - OPA2134 is soldered solid to the board, unlike photos of reviewed units where it was clearly inserted into the board's holes without being soldered. Of course, for those with soldering skills this won't be a problem, on the other hand the monoblock sounds sooo good that most audio fans will be fully satisfied with OPA2134. The amp, single or mono block, is much, much better sounding than anything even remotely close to its price, and if two of them are stacked then we have to go well above $1K in search of better sounding amps. Big thumbs up from me, BIG!
