Got mine as well, MD packaged the $700 merchandise extremely poorly, the shipping box was ruined in transit and because there was barely any padding, the videocard retail box was damaged as well! The images don't convey the full extent of the damage, it looked a lot worse before I started unpacking which straightened out a few spots, like the completely smashed in corner of the retail box. I still remember another MD packaging from two years ago when they put the tiny watch box into a big shipping box without ANY padding whatsoever! luckily, that box survived the transit intact, but this one did not.
I'm not a huge computer person, but i have a desktop and am getting a 1440p ultra wide and may plug in my 1080 on the side. Do you think I would need a 1080 or is a 1070 fine? I know 1080 will allow for better frame rates and better looks in general.
Styles22You will probably have to lower quality settings a bit. However at this point it may be worth waiting for next Gen, prices on 1070s are still pretty high and next Gen would offer a nice performance bump for less money
EDIT3: codes' been emailed! use yours while it's possible.
EDIT2: finally Hutch admitted the error on MD's part regarding the game codes that are supposed to be sent out and going to send them to 1080 seahawk drop participants. 1080 tis qualify for the same nvidia game code as well, so every participant on this drop should contact MD ASAP to get their code. You may not be able to use it with your 1080 ti because it'll arrive after the code expires but you still can sell it for a small profit or activate a game on a friend's qualifying GPU (1070/80/ti). Remember, you must get MD to send you the code before March 28th!
Original message: So apparently 1080 ti's qualify for Nvidia game bundle (Ghost Recon: Wildands or For Honor).

I would really appreciate if MD would chime in and clarify if the members of this drop will receive a code for the bundle along with their purchase, like any other buyer of 1080 ti in the world lol :)
Oh, and if you gonna say it's nvidia provided, that's not true this time around, the code must be provided to redeem the bundle, no code - no bundle eligibility. That's in step 4 of the bundle redeem instructions.
http://www.geforce.com/redeem-instructions Considering that the guys who jumped on the recent 1080 seahawk deal which MD advertised to include the game bundle didn't get the codes and can't activate the game bundle, it seems this group buy wouldn't get them either. Oh well, at least MD didn't false advertise with this group buy, unlike the other two drops on MSI seahawks just before 1080 ti dropped.
