XiKDo you know the price point? I don’t want to miss out so if it’s the same as buying this drop with switches to flip vs. buying the barebones drop, I’d rather wait.

mintyfruitsI have not seen any discussion on holtite compatibility with these boards. Holtites are also very expensive, a pain on the butt and still require soldering to get a good fit.

mintyfruitsyou could solder in mill max. they have a wider compatibility with all kinds of boards even tadas which have big holes.

DovandovanPeople have had issues with mill max sockets and the big pin on box switches not fitting, so that is something to watch out for

nym001No I was referring to someone discussing mi max sockets which can sometimes not fit on the large pin of a box switch. This is only a concern if someone attempts to make a pcb like this hotswapable using these aftermarket sockets.

NurbsI can't see or choose Cherry Silent Reds, only Cherry reds and Cherry blacks.
They're both the "same", linear, reds need less power, black needs more power.
No idea about your preference, typingstyle.

Makamithere’s a huge huge difference in feel and accoustics between silenced and vanilla reds and blacks. this is even more amplified when u use SA profile keycaps on them. they are the closest cherrys in feel to silenced topres IMO. again, just my opinion :)

Whatever you like and prefer, my answer had been aimed at, what is offered at checkout stock. "Closest" Cherry to Topre doesn't exist for me, reds and blacks without tactility are even less close, but to each his own!

XiKAre the Kalih Box switches the retooled V2 or are they the originals? Bought a keycap set to go along with this and don't want to have the stems breaking.
