I chose to join on this because I have to many classic sunglasses and these strike the right balance for smaller sporty glasses. Plus I have so many things in carbon fiber and or red that it matches
More product specification details when posting products please Massdrop.
I am noticing that the specs on various products are either incomplete or not thorough. Having worked in marketing I know why details and descriptions are more or less thorough. I have a higher expectation of a member driven seller.
For example:
Lens: plastic. Really! When purchasing eyewear the type of plastic does make a huge difference for both strength, scratch resistance and quality. I don't expect to have to search for a product online to find information. It takes a cursory search online to find that there is detailed information about different lenses. If the manufacturer doesn't initially provide then strongly encourage them to include.
UVA, UVB etc. is inadequate. What is the percentage of light that is reduced? There is a full easy classification that can be included. It makes a difference and it is my guess that you will increase your business because members will recommend Massdrop because of its street credibility.
Frames: Steel? Same as above.
What is great about Massdrop is that you are member driven and that is a given. My opinion for what it is worth is that you carry products that may not discovered through online searches or carried by major online store chains.
Cheers,
Scott
LukasMThanks! Yes, since joining the drop I've seen this same model pop up on groupon for 160. A good value at 160, even better at the price we paid. Looking forward to getting this drop this week!
Just received mine in Western Australia. Not impressed with the packing. They were only in a thin padded bag, the Oakley box is crushed and the red hard case is broken. Luckily it seems that the glasses themselves arrived ok. I'm a little disappointed.
In the same delivery I received my Fanmusic C6 4 PIN balanced cable that I got from a previous drop. It was packed in a box with nice airbag padding. That arrived in mint condition.
RocketsI returned a $120 pair of Julbo's to Massdrop for this same reason and it appears they haven't learned from their mistakes. On top of that they are shipping sunglasses with soft cases instead of the hard cases they showed (on the Julbo's). I guess the more money you make the less you care about the integrity of your fulfillment process.
stevesurfJust a heads up for everyone, I ordered some black lenses from Walleva for these and they don't fit...there is a slight difference in size between the regular Tincans and the Tincan Carbons. Also confirmed this with Walleva customer service, I gave them the Oakley SKU# OO6017-07 and they don't make them for this model. Not sure about Revant or other 3rd party companies so you should probably verify first
Kirkwallthat my friend is a product failure. You need to address this to Massdrop. I personally can accept if the box is not in a good shape but not the product itself. Hope you get compensated. :)
