Made in Japan, OHTO’s Dude rollerball pen features an aluminum barrel with a stainless steel pocket clip, chrome-plated brass fittings, and a plastic grip. And while the barrel is hexagonal, it tapers into a cylinder near the end, allowing the cap to be firmly posted Read More
I spy this is using the OHTO Ceramic Roller so there is a slim chance this will take my favorite Pilot Juice refill (and other G2-like refills). I wish someone from Massdrop help us if this takes the Parker-like refills, or G2-like, or Pilot Hi-Tec C. Thanks.
Definitely love the hexagonal barrel.
Hi Liz. Just saw a little discrepancy in the Description. To quote: 'chrome-plated brass fittings, and a rubber grip.' But in the specs, it's listed as Plastic Grip. Hope for a proper edit. Can't wait for these pens. I'm sure these will be super comfortable.
StrummHi @Strumm,
Thanks for pointing this out! I've corrected the description. The grip is plastic, but it does have a sort of satin/matte finish, so I can see how it might look like rubber. Pretty sure it's only plastic though; at least all our samples are.
Is there any way to set up the ordering so that you can purchase the two pack of pens and ordering both colors of fountain pens? It appears that you can only order one color of the addition fountain pens.
UPDATE: The issue has been fixed, so no one that didn't want a second fountain pen should have it added.
Anyone who DID want to add a second matching Dude fountain pen, please make sure to check your transaction again, as it may have changed with this fix. Sorry about any inconvenience, and thanks for your patience!

Mine just arrived today in Indonesia. Think DHL tied them to a whale and waited for it to migrate, but shipping anything to Indonesia normally costs a fortune, so can't complain. Good looking pens with well crafted lines. Look more expensive than they are, until you pick one up and the lightweight construction is apparent. I do like the way they feel in the hand and write, though this is a subjective thing. Clips to look a little delicate so will have to be careful not to fiddle with them. Oddly, of the two pens, the cap on one was a firm fit, but the other one was quite tight. Perhaps a shift in tolerances between colours or production runs.
I thought I'd try the Ohto fountain pen in a drop last year. The drop was a good deal for 2 fountain pens, so one for a friend and one for myself. We both really like the FP's. So, when the drop for 2 Rollerballs came up, I ordered them. Very pleased with the rollerballs as well. Ohto makes it easy to tell which is the rollerball v. the fountain pen - The finial/top of the FP is rounded and the top of the rollerball is flat. So if you're going to store them in a pen pouch or bag, you'll be able to pull out the right one easily.
Sallen - Jet Pens does sell the refills in black, blue, blue black and red. They offer 0.5 and 0.7 sizes @ 3.30.
( Jet Pens offers free shipping for orders of 25.00 or more. Which isn't hard to reach if you love good writing supplies)
Dang, I was hoping for a fire engine red barrel color. I see there is still no option for ordering refills at the same time. It would be convenient to order pens and refills on the same order.
Oops, waited too long on black and blue. I have the fountain pen version and like them. BTW: The branding will wear off or can be scratched off with your fingernail.
choiceweb0pen0same here. was looking at placing an order for a black and silver yesterday but by the time I got around to it the black sold out, got delayed by something then all but one silver sold out -- couldn't place order because I didn't want silver and purple
