krauserkrauserYou're spouting copyright laws on every single response here. Massdrop used to be all about DEALS, and now they are selling the same product as everyone else for MORE money. I'm not even talking about $5 or $10 more. But doubling, or even tripling the price? What!? We live in a very competitive market these days, and if I can get the same product for half the price, I will.
We're getting these items from Massdrop, not the artist. If you want to support artists, go find the artists you like and throw money at them. Giving money to Massdrop, after they gathered up discounted mass-produced mats from Ultra Pro AFTER it was shipped in from overseas, isn't helping the artist.
CraigersTwo mats is $15 cheaper than buying them through their normal distribution. Normally, they run $40 each. You seem to be mixing up what it possible with what is right. These channels specifically are designed to help the artist. The entire service is set up so that the artist actually receives money from the sell of playmats with their artwork. The price is higher because these are not mass produced; there is a lower supply and hence prices are higher.
I do not understand how you can go off on someone for accurately stating "using someone else's commercial artwork for free is taking away a revenue stream from artists." That's known as copyright infringement and it's against the law. You literally just went on a rant about how massdrop should do something illegal because you don't like the idea of paying a premium for a premium product.
