No -we have 6 different climate zones ranging from dry in the west to humid in the east. We even have mountains, albeit compared to your country they would seem like hills ( tallest mtn in Texas is under 9k feet). No jungle required. Many of us live on large tracks of land where a machete is useful for clearing brush, limbing trees, and a variety of other chopping tasks. Hope the man doesn't prohibit sharp edge tools for y'all and I hope to have the pleasure of visiting your country.
