So is this the DS25-LV or HD25-LV-WHD? The first paragraph seems to say that it is the wireless version, but the specs don't mention anything about this.

I do not see this being interchangeable with the cheaper BenQ w1070. This Optoma projector has a longer throw (brighter lamp, tighter projection). This Optoma is significantly quieter (26 dB to 33 dB), less than half as loud. This Optoma includes stereo sound, while the BenQ has a single speaker. I think the BenQ is better for the home market, while the Optoma is more suited for a lighted conference room.

This isn't even competitive with what you can get it for from places like amazon

AreuzWell MSRP is the price which the manufacturer suggests, so it doesn't have to mean that Amazon sells it for that price (and btw, they also say that the list price is 2499)

There's a BenQ projector on both Amazon and Newegg that is like over 100$ cheaper than this. It's also 3D and 1080p. So how is this one better?

I'm not sure how I missed your reply to me the first time this drop came around... but no, not really. You're wrong on pretty much every count. First of all, Optoma tends to measure their values off of idealized settings. Calibrated properly, the BenQ W1070 is superior in pretty much every way... brightness, color, black levels, etc.
There are more topics echoing this general sentiment on avsforums in general, but here are a few for your information: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/68-digital-projectors-under-3-000-usd-msrp/2049834-upgrading-need-bright-pj-optoma-hd-25lv-hd37-vs-benq-w1070.html?highlight=optoma+hd25+benq+w1070 http://www.avsforum.com/forum/68-digital-projectors-under-3-000-usd-msrp/1788034-optoma-hd25-vs-hd25-lv.html?highlight=optoma+hd25+benq+w1070
This projector kind of sucks. Go get a BenQ W1070. It costs less. It's better. I have one. It's an absolutely amazing piece of tech.
