I have an orbit key from Kickstarter that I still use to this day. In fact, it is the only key organizing solution that actually works as advertised -I'm looking right at you, bladekey. Highly recommend.

Leather > Metal is a bit up to preference, no? The keysmart is adjustable/expandable as well, but also includes a knob on the end to attach larger keys (like car keys with chips or buttons), or general items (clip or lanyard) (the orbitkey has an item to add this feature too).
One big advantage (IMO) of the keysmart is that it houses keys on both sides, so I would suspect if you had a decent number of keys/items (usb drive, bottle opener) that would be of benefit. But it definitely has lots to do with taste and preference.

FiroYeah I'm not sure why I said that, they both look like really legit products. I can personally recommend the Orbitkey, but it is definitely up to preference.

Version 2 is here, however they are basically forcing you to get the multi-tool, which is the only thing making this a "deal". Otherwise, the key organizer alone can be had for the same price elsewhere on the internet.

I got a leather one during the Kickstarter. They are awesome! Very high quality. Still looks like new and makes finding which key you need in the dark much easier. I did have to drill the hole in my keys a little bigger, but that only took a minute.

We've actually reduced the shaft dimensions a little bit since Kickstarter, so hopefully no more drilling required :D

Can we request more colour options and the accessories (bottle opener and USB drives) to go along with it? I have no use for 2 and I'd like to give the 2nd one for my wife, but I know she'd like a more feminine colour (pink).

twcaYea its strange that the savings are so little, maybe Massdrop didnt convert the AUD to USD when negotiating this deal?

xpndrBased on the pictures and the metal key hanger where the leather bends, it looks like the 1st Gen. Bummer too because I backed both and the 2nd generation really improved on the 1st.
