Massdrop really should include an Amazon affiliate link for those of us that can get items like the FTT0V004Y0 cheaper and quicker via Amazon. While I appreciate Massdrop bringing interesting products to my attention, I just can't justify paying more and waiting a lot longer, but in situations like these I'd like to see Massdrop get 'something' for their efforts.
ZcityUplol why?
#1 - The Massdrop community as a whole isn't so dimwitted as to not comparison shop. If a drop is available at a competitive price it inevitably gets posted by the community in the Discussion section.
#2 - Generating 4 - 8.5% through Amazon's affiliate program is better than generating 0%.
mrvcoBe careful with what you buy on Amazon. Most of the sellers on Amazon are garbage. I would never buy a watch on Amazon unless is was actually Amazon, not some reseller. Tons of watches on Amazon are undisclosed refurbs, not to mention factory seconds that have serious problem with no warranty. The sellers have their own "warranty" that is not worth much if anything. This is less important for such a cheap watch as this drop, but Amazon is more or less the same as eBay when it comes to their sellers. Beware of it. I would pay more knowing it is a legitimate sale with a warranty. Similarly, I buy off the Orient website when they do 35% or 40% off deals instead of gray market sites. Warranties do have value, and knowing your watch was not sold out the back door of the factory as a QC reject matters even more (Longines supposedly dumped a ton of factory seconds off to gray dealers who sold them all on Amazon and eBay).
MrSharkbaitI paid $140 a few months ago, and the watch is great. I have the gold-plated one. It looks great on the wrist, although the strap is garbage. Put it on a nice strap and it looks beautiful.
