I had the chance to sit down and demo a large collection of IEM's (mostly single, double, and triple BA varmints) a while back when looking to purchase some new gear. I listened to the Triple.Fi 10's, Westone UM3X as well as the 4R, and a handful of other mid range to high end IEMs. The Ortofon e-Q7 was in the group. Out of everything I listened to, the UM3X was the winner for me, but the single BA Ortofon e-Q7 was a close second. I really loved its fit and comfort, build quality, and nice balanced sound. It was lacking ever so slightly in the bass department for me, and didn't have the same level of detail retrieval as the UM3X (but I wouldn't expect it to as it is half the cost). All in all it's a great signle BA IEM.
