Outdoor Research Drycomp Summit Sack

I looked at this pack when researching lightwieght, frameless pack options for short-range ultralight trips. It's got the OR name and warranty going for it, as well as a few nice features I liked at this price point (roll top, waterproof, dual side pockets). I think it would have some versatility for hiking, summit pack, paddling, biking, travel carry-on, etc. Just keep in mind you're not going to want to carry a lot of weight in it (?20lb max), and it's on the small size for packing more than a couple days worth of gear (and only then if you have your UL kit dialed in). Just saw it come up for $58 today on REI Garage, although that comes with a 10% tax hit if you live in WA like me!

I could see dedicating it to hammocking. I could stuff my hammock, top quilt, underquilt, my pillow and a few small things inside. Water bottle (filled with whatever), and a tarp in the outer pockets. Compress when needed, or use it to hike with and use the belt when compression is not needed. Also, I suppose if I decided to venture into ultralight hiking, this would be a reasonable investment to get started.
