I use these on every business trip since I bought them, which I think was about a year ago. I travel on average once a month. The sacks are well made and show no wear. They stand up well to being stuffed very full. Definitely a good buy.
These are very nice and light little sacks, but on two of them the cords have started to fray over time. And then the cords start to get caught in the lock mechanism when I am opening/closing. They still work, but it takes a very firm pull now.
DynateenExact same thing happened to one of mine from the set. Cord might’ve come that way or did on first couple of uses. Seems like they are using poor quality cord or the cord locks have sharp edges that are snagging the cords.
Great material and construction. The captured cordlock is a bit weird. I guess it's supposed to speed up closing the bag, or maybe make it easier, but it takes 2 hands in any case, and the extra couple of tabs just add weight and a couple of higher stress points. Would prefer small, lighter cord and cordlocks, to keep the weight and bulk down. But that's just pickiness... I'd gladly add 1 or 2 more sets to my kit, they are really nice.
Solid option for organizing small gear with a bit of water resistance. I use the small one for the "camp kitchen", the medium one for all my cordage & hardware for the hammock/tarp shelter and the larger one for spare clothes. Stays closed and works well, keeps small items easy to find.
The different sizes were very useful for storing items in groups. Clothing bag, ditty bag, or even snacks and such. It is not waterproof, so don't plan on using it for overnight storage if it rains; get an appropriate bear/food storage!
