Notice how they give you two extra anchors with the kit? You can attach one of those to the buckle you connect to your bottom anchor.
Why do this? It allows you to move the buckle on the left anchor to the bottom for a CustomSLR-style center-only carry, which gets the strap out of the way when you're holding the camera in portrait orientation. And once you have the two ends of the strap connected, you can disconnect the bottom anchor and take your camera strap-free while keeping the strap secure around your body. From there it's just one clip to reattach the camera when you need both hands free again.
