Having had a pebble time and having had so many quility issues with it i would never pick up a smart watch without a warranty. That being said i think this drop is great for people that want to tinker. I dont get where 100 bucks off retail is charging a "premium". Thats pretry much at cost or darn near it. Just because a product is not supported does not mean it should be given away for free. As stated below there is efforts to crowd support the line which hopefully will pay off, seeing how popular the brand was with the programing and tech savvy.
