Yup, the timing on this is sad. Considering the kickstarter. It does look like a stock burning effort at MD's expense. But as to the pebbles being a passing fad? Not even. On top of being a repeat customer, I can vouch for them doing everything claimed, and expected of the watches. Along with the fact the kickstarter campaign has already reached 3/4's of it's goal, shows a very strong supporting following behind the brand. They are a great alternative to the over priced Apple, and the extended battery life is reason enough alone to sway someone's choice. Plus open source software leave's limitless possibilities open for future upgrades. Which Pebble sponsors and funds. (like Pals GPS bands) And yeah, I funded the KS, again.
