I was also unhappy about the limited nib sizes. What was the reason for this? PeliKan is well known for its nibs and fortunately their easy change. I happen to have some Pelikan nibs which is wider than the EF that I had to buy to get in on this drop (BTW who is fooling who? Its a group buy or a sale. Nobody else uses drop to describe this activity.. that is another story..)Which might be interchangeable with this EF. I guess that Pelikan had too many EF nibs for the 400 and interchangeable pens and cut this deal. What else could it be?
However in my experience the non fountain pen world is fond of cheap paper that feathers and bleeds like mad. EF pens give me a fighting chance that I can actually use it for general purposes.
My final rant is- When is Pelican ever going to release/make/offer thee really beautiful and splendid brown tortoise? I have been hoping for that for quite some time.
