Hope mine is on its way soon. My other Massdrop purchases all arrived before the latest date.
They have the regular Tikka the description, but not as an option?
Massdrop needs to do a drop for the CORE rechargeable battery pack that works with these lights! I am fairly new to the site. Does any one know how to suggest a drop to the company?
Here is a link to the product on Amazon but surely Massdrop can do a better price: https://www.amazon.com/Petzl-Rechargeable-Battery-Compact-Lamps/dp/B01L328L72

Wish Massdrop would include the rechargeable battery packs Petzl makes for these in the drop, even as separate items.
Basically I could spend $8 more including Seattle sales tax and grab one locally today rather than wait weeks. This is a decent drop but no major deal here.
I have one of the older e+Lites, and like @mkt42, it's one of my favorite pieces of gear. Super easy/intuitive to use, with little chance it'll get turned on accidentally in my pack. I take it on any hike where there's even a chance I'll get stuck out overnight, and I actually took it as my primary headlamp on a couple of trips this summer. I wouldn't plan to navigate trails or climbs with it (I'd prefer a stronger beam), but it's plenty strong around camp and adequate for navigating in a pinch. I also like the red beam for astronomy/astrophotography.
Showing three different versions, but only selling two? The price of the e+Lite is a bit cheaper than other places, but the price of the Tikka is more than just about everywhere else. Need to work on the descriptive and picture content, or better yet create a template for the manufacture/seller to complete and then post their information - that will get Massdrop out of the item content description business. Incorrect content and descriptions have become a real problem with Massdrop and unless the buyer is really careful they won't be getting what they think they are based on just the pictures and short descriptions. Do what you do best, get good deals and join buyers with product.

Where did you find the Tikka cheaper? Because I haven't.
Hi guys! Any status on this drop?

Just one comment: I got the Tikka in the previous drop and the half transparent blue plastic allows light to pass through directly to my eyes - very bad for night vision :( Anyone else had that problem or is it only me with my strange face?
I don't understand why the photo includes the Zipka when only the Tikka and e+Lite are being offered. A little misleading. It says at check out you can chose between the e+Lite or the Tikka in 4 colors. Maybe the Zipka was an option in the last drop? If that's the case update the photo maybe?
Just got my Zipka! Really like it a lot. I'm not super experienced with headlights so maybe I'm just easily impressed, but it's super lightweight, easy to operate, and a nice beam.

I love the zipka. I keep one in my backpack and just ordered 2 more for my car and toolbox. I don't like it for anything active. Tikka is better for that (or I use a Black Diamond Spot). But it's great for having around.
I love Petzls climbing gear, but their flashlights are lacking. Not waterproof (only IP X4) and they invented their own "standard" for burn times. The burn time is from full output until it drops below 0.25 lux at 2 meters, that's almost nothing.
Just have a look at the website: https://www.petzl.com/US/en/Sport/CLASSIC-headlamps/TIKKA#.WP2UovmLREY The same 60 hours burn time for 100 and 200 lumens?
Can someone please tell me ith the Tikka offered in the drop has the last use memory? That is, if I am using the red led at night does it remember the last use was a red led and NOT TURN ON the white the next time??? Very important feature for me. Thanks!
OldTrailDog
It remembers! It was a feature I was looking for in a headlamp.
I have a Tikka. Love it to pieces. The glow-in-the-dark ring in the housing makes it way easier to find in my hammock.
Does it comes as a set of all 3 headlamps or its price for each individual one. In the options I was able to choose color option only for one headlamp. So its give me thoughts.

Ive seen it cause I did placed an order for green Tikka. Its doesn't answer my question.

The price you see is per headlamp, not for all 3. You will have the option to choose a single model/color after hitting the "Join" button for the drop. Hope this helps!
I have an older Zipka Plus that has a permanent home in my toolbag--fits neatly into a small pocket, and super useful when poking around equipment/racks/cabling with less than optimal lighting. My only complaint is that its color rendering is a bit shite--the light runs purple in the spot center with a yellow halo. Anyone know if these newer ones are better in that regard?
SectionHiker just posted his review of the new e+Lite, calling it "one of the best headlamps ever designed with an easy-to-use mode selector that prevents accidental battery drain. Now twice as bright as before, the upgraded e+LITE is a better value than ever...Strongly recommended."

Was reading the reviews by section hiker. Its a great tiny, backup light. But I dont think it is regulated, otherwise perfect.
Be nice to do the tactikka next go around. I find the red filter super handy.
Does anyone know if the e-lite has the hat clip that older models did?
nogorilla
No hat clip on the new one.
Thanks Massdrop! I have the two previous models of the Zipka, and they have been great. Very compact and comfortable, even over a hat. This is a great price, but I had to get the it mostly because it is 200 lumens. Even if it only gives out 150 lumens, I have always found that to be plenty. Now I have to find out more about the diffuser in the video. I usually use plastic grocery bag and rubber band to diffuse the light.
Disappointed about the new e-lite It had the same stretch cord like the zipka has now in the old version

That's exactly what I did. Received it yesterday. So tiny!
Daaa
I did the same! Got it at a cheap price too, perhaps because it was a discontinued model.
And then ... I've managed to lose it already. It might be hiding deep in the pocket of one of my backpacks but I can't find it.
So I might join this newest massdrop. Yeah it's the new model but it's still clearly a great piece of equipment. The new ones are lighter and brighter, but I don't like the idea of carrying a storage case around and I loved how the cord strap on the old models spooled itself into to body of the headlamp.
But it's still a piece of equipment that hits a sweet spot, brighter and more useful and full-featured than the teeny tiny lights, and much smaller and lighter than the full-size headlamps, small enough to take pretty much anywhere. (I like to take mine when I do ordinary travel, as an emergency light in case the hotel loses power. OTOH that's how I lost yet another e-Lite before. When I backpack or dayhike I have a fixed place where things go, including my headlamp. But when I get out of that routine, as with ordinary travel or car-camping, then I don't have an automatic instinct about where to put my headlamp and that's how I'm losing those e-Lites, especially because I can stash them places such as pants pockets that I wouldn't put my Tikka in.)
