Peugeot pepper mills may seem expensive, but not ti me. Pepper is one if my favourite spices, and grind size is vital, depending on the application. Peugeot gets ut right every time. This mill is replacing another Peugeot tgat I git 39-sime years ago. So not so expensive after all...

So I ordered both a pepper and a salt mill but when I got the delivery they were a little bit different. The crown on the top wasn't the same, one had a lion head on top the other had the letter P. Then there was a little bit different color difference or one was matter and the other a little bit more shiny. So I was only unhappy that they weren't the same type even though I thought I was buying the same type, but grinding wise they are great and a quality product over all.

We're particular about pepper and have several of these for the different varieties of pepper we use all the time (malabar, tellicherry, white, and smoked). They're reliable, adjustible, and attractive. They also make great gifts.

I've owned a standard Peugeot pepper mill for 23 years, and used it daily, with never any problem. Its grind can be adjusted by loosening or tightening the nut on top. But on a whim, I decided to get the USelect and am not disappointed. The grind is more adjustable, and it's easier to do so. The mill is of the same great quality, and I fully expect it to be passed down to my kids.
