Just pointing out that this is ancient tech from 2013. It is very well-reviewed, but don't expect it to handle any current audio formats except Dolby Digital.
Where is anyone seeing this at 90? I bought one new 4.5 years later and the subwoofer just now developed a somewhat staticky issue, otherwise have always been happy with it. Would buy again in a heart beat at 90 bucks
I too was worried about reliability issues but took a chance based on what I care most about, which is sound quality. Seems the most common fault was capacitors blowing after turning on the unit, so I just keep it on all the time. Uses next to no electricity when not driven. Also saves hassle of having to adjust volume , which resets every power off, and soundbar having to reconnect with bass speaker.
After about a year I am very satisfied with the sound. Excellent playing music also. Bass does not go that deep given the compact size and 6.5 inch driver but should satisfy most people.
At $90 this is an absolute steal for anybody who cares about sound quality.
Alas, I do not see that "Minimum Advertised Price" message, nor any coupon anywhere. Based on the comments on this page, I'd take a calculated risk for $70 or $90, whichever, but $220 makes me hesitant, despite the broader good reputation of Andrew Jones.
BReal38I bought a Bluetooth amp off eBay (100W + 50W for the sub). Used the drivers (speakers) in a custom enclosure made from MDF. I sized each enclosure to match the original dimensions. It works great for a garage gym setup.
