Please include what switches you're using in your evaluations of the plate tightness.
Might help us narrow down which combinations are the worst and what to expect for those of us who have not received the kit yet. We've heard Cherry blues are bad, gateron good, Zealios ok. How about Clears, anyone got those? Seems weird to me that different cherry switches would have different dimensions. Nightmare reading the comments and waiting for the kit:/
Also, those who filed, have you flattened out the red circled corners completely or just a tad?

Armstrong01I got a preonic MIT plate with zealios switches. I kept the corners just smoothed em a bit. I used a flat file, about 3/4 of the width of the hole. Switches would fit if the cuts were clean, but they are not. Theres really not much to remove.

Armstrong01If you don't plan on changing the switches to something that needs those bumps and you don't mind a bit more filing, you might as well go all the way flat just to be sure you don't get sticky keys, but you don't NEED to go all the way.

Armstrong01I had cherry clears with mine. But I don't think it's dependent on the switches. I think it's dependent on the each plate. I believe the inconsistencies are in the plates. If the switches don't sit all the way, I experienced that it's due to plastic stripping off the edges as you try to wedge in the switches.
I filed the red circled corners but its was slightly. It was just enough so that the edge was rounded off.
