What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

Does anyone know how difficult DIY swap of the rubberdome sheet? I think this sheet can be used--http://www.ebay.com/itm/Electrostatic-Capacitive-Rubber-Dome-Sheet-35g-45g-55g/112137004390 which is from Korean vendor that sells rebranded Plum keyboard in Korean market.
----- Additional comment I see some springs are included and those can be used to increase actuation force? I wonder how that compares to rubberdomesheet swap. Putting in springs would be a lot simpler...
I can comment on the springs, however. On Topre boards, there is a spring that sits around the plunger on the spacebar, and I'm pretty sure its only real purpose is to offset the extra weight of the cap. It can add an ugly sound to the keys, so I wouldn't recommend that in lieu of a dome swap (having tried it myself).
I'd personally only want the heavier domes just so the tactile bump of the domes is more prominent. There's nothing really wrong with how light it is, IMO, but I find the tactile bump of the heavier domes very satisfying.
I really like the feel of the 35s, but due to my inability to leave something alone, I have ordered that exact rubber sheet you linked in 55g. Hasn't arrived yet,so I can't tell you if it worked or not.
I have pulled the keyboard apart (plum 84), and it looks extremely simple to change out the sheet.
