A bit thicker than I expected
Initially I thought to get this belt to wear with my suits. But once I got it, it's apparent that this is more of a jeans belt than a suit belt. It's much more chunkier than I expected. Still a quality belt and I still like it, just wish it was thinner as I was really looking for a dress belt. Will recommend.

Love the belt, hate the buckle
The leather quality is phenomenal compared to the crappy department store belts I've worn my whole life. Unfortunately, the brass buckle is an absolute brick. I guess in a pinch you could use it to defend yourself, but besides as a symbol of strength and manliness, there's no reason to have a belt buckle that weighs more than your phone. A belt buckle doesn't need to hold up a bridge. It's not subject to extreme stresses, so I would love to see these revised with a lighter, more practical steel/aluminum buckle.

Attractive, rugged-looking casual belt
Pros: attractive leather, double-layered, and soft (almost floppy), broken-in feeling.
Cons: not rigid enough for carrying equipment; use of snaps/rivets instead of screws for retaining the buckle (buckle cannot be replaced).

Solid materials but design is flawed
Horween makes some great leather but CXL is known to stretch more than most and hence I should have sized down from the recommended length. Now I have a belt that is a bit too long and sticks out to the side. The other issue is the loop is so far from the buckle that it pushes it to the side. There is no way to center this belt for most of my jeans due to the belt loops on the jeans. This is on several different brands and so I have to blame the belt for this one!
