What does "integrated belt" mean? I see belt loops in the pics, but no belt.

matt98030unless this is a massdrop exclusive or prana changed up their design for 2019, there is no belt of any sort. the zion (and a few other models) has an integrated belt, which is a 3/4" webbing sewn into the waist with front tension lock. i'm guessing this is a mistake in the description.

matt98030I agree with awesomeblauge - probably a typo. FWIW, I have a couple pairs of the prAna stretch Zions with integrated belts and they're a nifty feature, but I don't rely on the integrated belts (straps, really) because they slip over time and I have to keep re-cinching them as I move around in them. Good thing those pants also come with belt loops, eh? Regardless, I love the fabrics prAna uses - they are tough enough for the trail, but wrinkle-resistant enough for the dress-casual office. They are the most versatile trousers I own and I would happily swap out 90% of the pants in my wardrobe for them if I could afford to do so. Be warned, however. That versatility comes at a cost. They are noticeably heavier than other trail pants I own and they do not breathe as freely as I would like. The Brions (what's in this Drop) have the same fabric as the Zions. On hot days, I leave the prAnas at home and wear thinner pants.

It's worth mentioning that these pants are not "slim fit" despite Prana calling them that. They may be slim compared to other pants they make, but it you wear skinny jeans or have a modern-cut suit, these will seem baggy by comparison. Just FYI. I have two pairs that I primarily wear while leisure traveling, and I like then for that application. I've worn them to my casual office on occasion, but they aren't dress pants by any stretch.

SAK335I agree with the generous leg-fit comment - in a high wind these will flap around your legs a lot more than other trail pants would, unless you have especially thick legs. That being said, the stretchiness of the fit is great. And I would go a little further with the comment on these pants as being appropriate for casual office wear. So long as you haven't stained or ripped them, these pants should not attract attention in a casual business environment, assuming you're wearing dress shoes, a leather belt, and a button-down dress shirt along with them. My prAnas spend much more time at work then they do at play and I love them for this versatility. These are premium pants that reward you all week and through your weekend adventures, too. If only I could find trail shirts that could pass at work, I'd be in heaven.....

EZB83Yes it is? I’ve never seen Brions less than $50. I just wish they had other colors edit: just saw that you were referring to the previous drop

This isn't much of a deal. Maybe at the $60 price point, although these pants are regularly on sale for that amount or less from the online gear usual suspects. With the same free shipping and you can have them now, instead of waiting a month.

For $40 delivered to your doorstep is not bad, just wished they offered other colors. There're good pants, definitely worth the $40. I have the carbon (almost black) ones and the fabric is almost soft shell like, very stretchy and very comfortable while being fairly dressy for an outdoor pant. Agree with other post they're great for traveling and in town. I would say they're slim and low rise for Prana and other outdoor companies making loose clothing like Patagonia and Royal Robbins but they are not slim compared typical skinny rocker jean companies so somewhere in-between . Similar cut to Kuhl's slim Deceptr pants. I'm seeing tons of these Brion's on the clearance racks at REI for $50 as I think their too skinny for the older & conservative outdoor crowd that like the old school baggy and loose look. Personally I like this cut way more especially when I'm in the mountains, I've used them with crampons. Black Diamond also make a really good slim jean that many people climb in, you could do the same with these.

C.radYeah, 40 is a good price for these. Don't remember what the previous drop price was that spurred my original comment, but judging from my inclusion of 60, it was a bit more than that.

Currently $52+ at many other online retailers in many sizes like Amazon. If you're Prime, it includes free shipping and free returns: prAna Men's Brion Pant 30"" Inseam, Dark Khaki, 31W x by Amazon.com https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00ISL8CF8/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_XT1iDbK0TXNDJ

POManAmazon prices differ based on size and color selections. E.g., for my size only 2 colors are available and there is a $24 price difference between the two colors. So definitely worth checking out, but expect some oddities in the pricing.

jmk451Think they got that from the Stretch Zion pants, which do have that belt.

Not a great deal: Amazon and Backcountry are selling this at a lower price if you include Drop’s shipping charge.
