I bought the preonic in May 2022, and just after 7 months till today the keyboard can't be detected. Getting the malfunctioned pop up and inside Device Manager showing "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". Try the reset button at the back of the keyboard but nothing happens. Is the PCB board brick?? Can't seem to find similar problems posted in either Q&A or Discussions.
Je3HI just hit the same issue last night. How can I unbrick it please community? I can still hear the midi sound I put in my keys. It's just not recognised by any OS, nor can I reflash it cuz it's invisible to the software...

pingshunhuangalexMay I know how long you have used it until it showed the above problem? Wish Drop is selling dedicated PCB boards for the Preonic.

Je3Hthis is really late but if the OS detects it then something is working. I'm not sure about pings..alex issue as he states the OS doesn't recognize it, but if he is seeing the same issue as yours then the os DOES recognize it at least a little. it's been awhile since I had to flash mine but there is something similar to flashing the keyboard but slightly different called clearing the EEPROM memory. You have to use the QMK toolbox to do it: find it here: https://github.com/qmk/qmk_toolbox. I believe this will wipe any current mappings, so be prepared to flash the .hex firmware onto it again, but if the board doesn't work at all now then you can decide if it is worth a try? it's a normally safe process, clearing EEPROM is like changing the battery on your motherboard. you'll lose the settings but if you have a backup you can restore.
