I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend, and he loves it. We haven't had any leaking issues as others have mentioned, so I can't comment on that, but ours works well. He likes to keep it in the fridge for 48 hours instead of 24 to make it stronger and have better flavor. Overall, he's very happy with it, so it was well worth the price for me.

So....... It's a simple concept that is excuted perfectly with good materials (a decent thickness glassware, rubbers in the caps are good quality to stop the leak & a metal cylindrical filter is fine and sturdy). Even decided to include a protective cover with little bit of cushion.
This is how every product needs to be made!! Good quality with many thoughts put into making it.
I guess insulation is probably next phase of this neat product! (Primula Brew 2.0 !!) I'm glad that I purchased two instead of one!! 👍

I made the mistake of buying this, before I read any of the discussions or reviews, I was kinda bummed that I wasted the money on it, but I hadn't received it yet to try it out for myself! The complaints I kept reading, they leak, they leak, they don't make strong coffee at all, its coffee flavored water, don't waste your money!
A couple of the people said to wet the bottom seal before you screw it on...that makes sense, otherwise its just going to twist and bind, and you will have a bad seal. Another guy said that maybe if you brew the coffee with the filter at the top, the coffee will be stronger. I tried those two suggestions. I bought two of the bottles, both bottles i did a course grind and filled the filters up to the brim. I made sure to wet both seals before tightening them. When i put them in the fridge, i put one upside down, and the other right side up. The one upside down brewed noticeably quicker and stronger, while the one right side up just kind of steeped along slower, although with out a single drip of water out the bottom. They both steeped a little more then 24 hours, this morning I took the one that had been upside down. It is almost too strong but really good! So... Try wetting your bottom seal, see if that will help. You could also try a little Vaseline to lubricate the seal. Also steep it upside down, it will make a difference and you will have some great tasting cold brew!
After first use, I will def recommend this product.

I definitely love it, so easy to use... You put coarse french press grind in it, top it up with cold water, and let it rest for 12 to 24 hrs in the fridge and it comes out perfect... I also happen to live in Guatemala, home of the best coffee in the world, so that helps alot too...

I made the mistake of only reading the reviews after ordering, but it still helped a bit: it's true what a lot of them says: the screws are terrible. The bottom screw is maybe one turn or just a half. But it helped me to be extra careful when trying it out. It's very hard to find the right amount of tightness to not break anything, don't damage the awful, low quality seal, but still have a snug fit so it doesn't leak. Seriously, Massdrop, drop this item or tell the manufacturer that it just doesn't work. I won't send it back from Hungary, because it was kind of cheap, but I don't advise anyone to buy it, because it's almost a scam. Massdrop should be about user feedback, and quality coming from the strength of community, therefore this product should just be dropped.

I wanted to like this.  It leaks. The primary design flaw is in the screw-in bottom piece.  There is no gasket to seal the bottom cover and secure the basket in place.  If the designers had added a gasket, I believe a lot of the problems I experienced with leaking would have been avoided.

I thought it was leaking so I tightened it and the glass cracked. It broke first use. Waste of money.

I find that it is prone to leakage from the bottom . Also it’s a mess to dispose of the coffee grounds. Makes the cold brew coffee just fine, but if the bottom cap is not on correctly it creates a mess.

I like this cold brew system it but a little concerned that the top lid appears to be seperating between the metal and the plastic.

I finally threw Mina away, what good is it if the lid tries to cut you, no cold brew is worth it.

RNJohnMine started to come off a hand full of times over the last few months. When I noticed, I pushed it back down. Other than that, I've had zero problems. I bought it knowing the potential issues, but have been fortunate so far to have one minor issue. I like this product, but it sucks that it's hit or miss.
