I'm not complain but after seeing this and seeing other reviews I never expected my PUK to fail on me. One thing that had me worried what the some what crudely drilled holes. But other than that I loved this pipe until the magnet gave up and sent the bottom half straight to the floor and broke. I just want the chance to get another one at the same price as the drop I would hate to pay full price and have this happen to me again.
I'm also less than impressed witht he QC and think in general the order may have been rushed to meet this drops demands. The holes are a little nicked and the surface was lightly scratched enough I didn't bother taking photos ;-(

As for impressions, I don't like how easily the top and bottom portions slide apart and how the magnet is glued inside. If I had to improve on the design I would make the magnet have a male end and the metal the recessed female end would prevent the pipe from sliding apart. As for the screen, one in the middle suited me well opposed to using one in each chamber.

All in all, this was worth the drop price but I would strongly caution against a retail purchase, yikes.
In general it's a great device, however after a couple weeks and a single cleaning (water rinse out, pipe cleaner through the holes), the next time I tried to use it, the top half's magnet detached and stuck to the bottom half's magnet, with only the screen between them. Given that I'm going to be breathing hot air that passes through this thing, what's a safe glue to restick the magnet?

And why is the magnet attached via that weird adhesive covering anyway, instead of just embedded in the pyrex?
After having used the Puk Pipe for over a week now, here are my thoughts.

It's sturdy. It looks interesting and definitely does not look like a pipe. It holds 6 bowls - great for sharing or a concert. Very easy to clean. This is where the positives end.

What's with the screens? They don't fit well in the bowl and get constantly stuck when rotating the pipe from bowl to bowl. If you don't pack the plant matter just right, it will either fly out from an errant wind gust or become clogged. This requires grinding, time, and some effort. They say this can hold almost an 1/8th in its 6 bowls. This is absolute hogwash. I was able to put in about 1-2 gms.

When you're done with a bowl and you try to blow the ash out, often the screen will fly out as well. This is frustrating.

The rare earth magnet, as Stefan has pointed out, is just not strong enough and will slide off in your pocket if you're walking around. It doesn't spin freely but it isn't reassuring and doesn't inspire confidence. It won't slide off in your bag though. This is just a design flaw that could easily be fixed with some grooves built in.

There is no carb and the mouth hole is so small that a lot of air gets mixed in when you take a hit. Plus the mouth hole was not flush - there were chips. Drilling into curved pyrex, this is unavoidable really.

There was sticky crap all over the glass and as valence mentioned it smelled like silicone. I had to wash the heck out of it. I did not feel safe using it until I cleaned it thoroughly.

The best use for this pipe would be at a concert or day trip where you can get "prepared" beforehand but keep it at home otherwise. It is not a daily driver.
JoonThanks for the feedback guys. The guys at Puk Pipe are reading these and taking everything into consideration.

I've had the pipe a little longer and in terms of my feedback. You actually don't need the brass screens. In terms of transporting in your pocket, I also did the peppercorns in your pocket for the day and none of them fell out, but just as a precaution any rubber band should secure the two halves during transport. Here is a pics of what I mean:

This is all great feedback, also, in regards to the glue, Puk Pipe has told me that it's non-toxic.
Yeah, QC seems pretty dreadful. Magnet also doesn't do shit to stop it from rotating and it'd probably even separate in a bag or pocket, so this thing is pretty much useless to me unless i carry it around in the nice but overly large container, which I'll never do. Bummer.

@valence I can sort of notice an odd silicone smell, yeah. Haven't used it yet so can't tell you how it tastes.
andyIt doesn't spin that freely no, although it was pretty easy to get the halves to disconnect by accident. I loaded it up with pepper corns in all of the compartments to see if it'd spill out when i carried it in my pocket, and it did in several attempts (after 10 minutes tops of sitting or walking). I've not tested it in my bag yet, but i'm expecting that after not much longer, the same will have happened due to how little force is needed. I guess the pipe would still be useful if you carried it around in the case it comes with, but because of how unwieldy it is, that just defeats the benefit of not having to carry a secondary container/grinder which I was excited for. I'm also a bit bothered by the smell of the silicone.

All in all it's a neat thing for the drop price, but I don't trust it with my herb. Perhaps if the magnets were closer together and had a non-round shape that issue would be resolved.

edit; I have to be more careful ordering drops to my parents' address from now on. Scent dispenser! I will never hear the end of it.
my puk pipe has a lot of scratches on the bottom of the pipe. and the hole is damaged on the top half of the puk. it looks like part of the glass chipped when they were drilling the hole. i wonder if its a quality control issue or what. any ideas on what I should do? since i bought it through massdrop am i shit out of luck? ugh...this sucks.
