ChuckDeeThat logo isn't of mine creation, but the idea is to resemble the letter "M" or simply a wavy symbol. That said, I've been working on a rebrand for the past year and it is going to debut this year, the new Pulse logo!

When are the final numbers coming in? Seems strange if the text mods didn't get up to 1000.
I just learned about this set when @io2red shared SP's quotation in the post above. But you could look at the GeekHack post to study how keycap count (and width, I'd bet) impacts kit cost. Any unique (new) legends and/or keycap sizes would have a big impact too (new tooling).
EDIT: GeekHack link - https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=86123.0
@HerpDerpenberg I can completely understand your frustration there, and you are right to some degree. I believe MD is the one who has the say in the price breakpoints, but I don't think the price differences are as vast as you are thinking. In the case of a 200 price point to a 1000 price point it can be a decent amount, but it might not have been as big of a price decrease as you are thinking. I don't know what the costs were for this run though, so this is all purely speculation and I cannot confirm for you. I would agree there are certain situations where they could possibly make an extra 1 to 2 thousand, but this still goes back to a point I was trying to make with my last post.
" Without them advertising these sets there are a lot less people buying, which in turn costs us a lot more."
And with this I mean that these keycap sets wouldn't receive nearly as much publicity doing it on their own as they would by running on MD. Even the famous KB artists like MiTo wouldn't do as well if he was only advertising on Reddit and GH. There are a lot of different people who visit MD each day, and they aren't all looking for mechanical keyboards. So they really did most of the work for that money IMO. Sure we are all going in on the purchase together, and we should receive savings too, no doubt. But they are the one who fostered this community for several years and all of us have made it what it currently is. So I believe it's in our best interest for MD to at least make some money so they can keep running these buys. Not saying it's okay for MD to price gouge us on everything, but they need to at least be able to stay in the green and pay the bills. ;)
@dvorcol Love the charts! It is pretty interesting to see all of the data plotted like that. You can really get an idea for how important each price point is. The cost to produce each kit is clearly nonlinear. Some kits drop in price quickly while some of the others don't drop nearly as fast. I could imagine the cost of the mould can vary drastically depending on how many keys are needed in that kit. There is probably an ideal cost to key space ratio that could be used to reduce the price of these kits. But one of the lessons I learned was that GMK is doing it right IMO, and the more kits you have the more expensive the entire run could potentially be.
@ProtonDecay Check out the GeekHack thread that dvorcol just posted to see what keys were planned to be included in each kit. It is possible I may have changed one or two of the kits after the quote, but I am almost positive the quote was for the exact same kits you can see on that thread. So excited! I received my keycaps today!!! This is my first GB custom keycap set, the wait has been excruciating. Thank you @MiTo and your team :D Here is how they look on my Vortex race 3:

With that, I do have a couple questions. Firstly, as you can see from the image (sorry for the poor quality & lighting, I'm at work), the space bar seems to be a different finish than the rest of the keys in the set. It completely mat while the rest have a shine. Is this normal? Secondly, in the picture below, you can see the the font of the DELETE and ENTER keys I've used, seem to be thinner than the font of the rest of the legends.
search
Am I being nit-picky or is this a quality control issue? I have yet to sit and sort through the rest of the collection to see if there are similar keys, but I'm assuming these aren't the only ones. Over all I'm extremely happy with the keycaps, the profile feels great while tying. If my small gripes are indeed within the norm when it comes to these custom runs, I apologize for being a twit.

@MiTo I know we're doing GodSpeed right now, but this is one request away from 5000! I think it's time to bring back SA PuLSE - 2017!
Who's with me?! (It really doesn't matter, unless MiTo is with me, or with us, more accurately.)
UPDATE: 5035 Requests now! I wonder who was lucky number 5000 :)
UPDATE 2: 5093! Looks like over 50 requests a week. The only way to slow it is to release it!

❗️To make the information that was brought to light by @FonderPrism clear! Only the customers who ordered Rams, Norde and/or Mono will be affected by the two weeks delay. People who didn’t order these kits should be getting their shipment notifications soon. I decided to halt shipping for these particular kits (Rams/Norde/Mono) because I think the community deserves a better looking Ç (Norde), brackets, apostrophe and grave accent (Rams and Mono). Upon closer inspection these weren’t perfect so I gave the order to get them remade. I hope you understand and I’m very sorry for this issue. At the end of the day I hope you enjoy the best possible version of the kits and keycaps once they arrive, which is going to be soon. Below you can see a couple pictures highlighting the Ç ' ` [ ] characters. Apologies for the bad quality, unfortunately it's rainy today and my phone doesn't want to cooperate.

Massdrop is updating the drop page with new renders, displaying all keycap sizes to prevent any confusions.
Meanwhile, you can see the renders here: https://mitormk.com/pulse/

I'm sorry for previous confusions and for not displaying these earlier, apparently the amount of people unfamiliar with keycap sizes outnumbered the veterans in this drop. Curious! In any case thanks for the attention, enthusiasm, feedback and of course support!
If you're still unsure about what kits you need, feel free to engage so we can help!

Oh I meant spreading the tooling across all sets in the same drop. So if there's some new novelty cap, they're not going to charge only that new novelty set. They'll just increase the price of each set by $5 to offset that initial cost. You'd probably do that to the standard alphas and text mods. Every time these drops get a re-drop, people always notice that the price keeps going up.
HerpDerpenbergThat makes sense. I call each drop a "set" and the different options in each drop "kits", hence my misunderstanding.

MiToI know I haven't participated in this community for particularly long, but it took no time at all for me to realize you're a real Grade-A class act, MiTo!
Pulse will be the first of your projects that I'll be getting, but by no means the last. Congratulations on another successful round! I personally can't wait to clickity-clack away on Pulse SA! ;)
