If you don't need the phone clip, this is cheaper and sleeker in all black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B49DSMZ
What is the warranty like and return by date?
Did I miss it, or is there no wireless remote bluetooth shutter switch included with the Python P5 Portable Tripod? I recently sorted through a dozen similar models on Amazon and then ordered one sold by Ubeesize, which a friend of mine is also using. https://www.amazon.com/UBeesize-Phone-Tripod-Wireless-Compatible/dp/B07837W5NX/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1544979148&sr=1-4&keywords=UBeesize+Tripod+S%2C+Premium+Phone+Tripod Oh, it also has the wireless remote bluetooth shutter switch which apparently works up to about 30 feet away. The "delivered" cost is $17.99 and Amazon will deliver today, a Sunday, which is a couple of days after my order! I guess I'll see how it works, but they all seem so similar, and the one I purchased had many supposedly verified positive customer reviews.
Mine just arrived. Seems pretty solid, possibly more so than my Joby.
I like that the legs are hinged and it has a dial that allows for extra leg splay without adjusting the leg itself, which may help durability.
Decent height.
The only negative I can see is the length of the screw seems a bit short it wouldn't ne much more than 5mm (1/4inch).
The accessories seem solid and well made.
Exact same or very similar products can be found on AliExpress for less than $10. I believe there must be a white label manufacturer in China that makes this particular tripod (or a very faithful clone). I've seen reviews of such tripods and they hold their own against JOBY. Couldn't find much on durability though.
I'll let you know when I get mine. This one is lighter and cheaper for the holding capacity than the JOBY which is why I'm willing to give it a try as something I can take hiking with me.
I would Like to know as well. This is cheaper but if it is going to be worse than a gorillapod then I’d rather just get the already established product
How is this better than a JOBY GorillaPod exactly? Never seen this, and while the legs of the Gorillapod are at least mechanically joined, and work by friction, I assume these 'rubber' legs, while probably 'grippier' contain a bendable/deformable metal rod that will eventually wear out/crack?
It does seem like this is right in the price range as the GorillaPod 325/500 if it's a decent drop. So if anyone can point to a legit comparison of the two brands, I'd like to see it. Googling isn't doing much to help.
