I'm a big fan of small, fixed blade knives. I added this one to a family of others that I've carried daily at one point or another (the Izula has been my go to for a couple of years now). For $45, I was curious to try this one out.
I'm going to be that guy- I bought a knife with half of a handle, and I'm going to complain that it needs just a little bit more handle. The Minimalist, the Strider SLCC, and even the "handleless" Hideaway knife (pictured) all feel much better in the hand while having a reduced handle size. Even with the finger hole for "added control", the handle as it comes just didn't offer enough grip for me to feel like I could control it well. Wrapping it in paracord did help make it more comfortable to hold and use, but I would still like more. The handle would benefit from just a tad more width, and I think they could have put that last finger groove along the length without adding too much weight or detracting from the overall compactness of the knife.
That being said, I like the blade size and shape. I primarily use a knife for opening various packages at work, so I like the straight edge with a precise point that's also easy to sharpen. The finish looks good and there are no tool marks or blemishes that I've seen. The sheath keeps it very secure with how it clips into the finger hole. I could not pull it straight out, which means you do have to get a finger or thumb on the other side to push the securing tab away from the blade to release it. The knife comes with a Tek-Lok for sheath attachment, which is bulkier than I like for a knife this compact, but is a nice inclusion. I like to carry horizontally on my belt in front of my right hip, so I just rigged up a couple of pieces of paracord to run my belt through. I'll continue to use it for a few weeks and update if anything significant comes up. Overall, I think this was a decent deal, but the handle might be an issue for some users.
