Product Description
Offering the same classic fit as the Rainbow single-layer sandal, the double-layer sandal provides more cushion and arch support. The top is made of extra-thick full-grain nubuck leather for durability, while the midsole has an added layer of foam, which runs from the heel to the front of the arch for increased comfort Read More
Why does the pic show the single layer rainbows? The double layer sandals as advertised have twice the cushion (and take a little more time to break in). And the lighter Sierra brown gain that lovely patina we love with good, well used leather items :)
I've owned multiple pairs over the last 17+ yrs and yes they are definitely some of the best sandals/flip flops ever, once broken in! Definitely prefer the double layer vs the single layer (shown in Massdrop's main pic). As a female I wear the men's version since the women's are too narrow - especially if you have feet that are normal to slightly wider than women's B width.
mayorblurpsThe photos have been updated. This drop is for the double layer sandals, since many people asked for them in our last single layer sandal drop. Sorry for the confusion! Glad you are a Rainbow fan, I practically live in them :)
I have a couple pairs of Rainbows and they are bulletproof! GREAT sandals. Be sure you break them in before you go on vacation with them! That crazy comfort takes some time to conform to your feet, but once they do you will never buy another brand.
These are comfortable once you break them in. Originally i bought the single layer, before I knew the double layer existed. Bought the double layer because I wanted the extra support and Im glad I did. Now I don't want to wear the single layer any more.
Most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned, but I literally still have scars from breaking them in over a year ago. I’m not sure if I can recommend this sandal because of that. If you can get through the break in they’re awesome but get ready for some raw feet
LimIvanI've had them for six years. When I bought them, they were really tight, too tight for my taste when I tried them on in the shop, but the salesperson said that they were supposed to be in the beginning. Now they're quite loose and very comfy. It took about two weeks to break in IIRC and I've loved them ever since. Wouldn't be able to tell about sizes though, we use different sizing in Netherlands.
These shipped fast for the most recent drop. Mine are due to arrive tomorrow. Will talk about sizing for my size 12 feet. I went with XL instead of XXL.
Just received my pair size Large (I am size 10.5 )and think I need XL. I read the comments about breaking in period, but not sure... Can anyone answer about XL for size 10.5?
