Got these, the 57mm, should have gone bigger. The glasses are far better then any polymer type. I'm talking Randolph Eng vs Bolle (general, sea, biking) , 100% (cycling), Maui Jims, Rudy Projects (competition) etc. Why do you ask,
1-Clarity is the best. You can't unsee these sunglasses once you use them.
2- nose bridge is super comfortable
3- solid, these are just really well built and i suspect will last a long while
Only thing is that these are heavy.
Th roughly enjoyed these and may buy the 61mm next time they are released by Drop.
You want a true driver's/pilot's lens with the perfect tint and light and color representation? Look no further. PLUS they don't have the polarized problem with nav screens. HOWEVER, they are anti-reflective and have a beautiful purple coating on the driver's shade high-contrast lens. No wonder these are NASA/AF standard issue for high-end pilots.... And don't get me started on the BEAUTIFUL (I think) 23K gold finish.... (I don't think Ray-Ban even uses REAL gold.)
This was a terrific buy. A hundred dollars for glasses that sell for almost three times that much regularly. The build on these is better than on any sunglasses I've ever seen. Heck, it's better than the build on any glasses of any kind that I've seen. They're sturdy and should last a long time. Love the bayonet temple, it's great for when you wear a hat. Optically, these are better than Ray-Ban and Oakley (I have some of both), but not as good as Costas in my opinion.
Fit like a glove. Very sturdy - not any of the flimsiness one may expect from wire-framed glasses. And the lenses are crisp and clear. I've had a variety of sunglasses, and these stand out positively; I'm very pleased with them.
Nice sunglasses, but scale up your usual sizing by about 5mm. My sunglasses did not fit properly compared to just about every other sunglasses sizing guide.
coolerkingVice versa. The overall width was much smaller than other sunglasses with the same listed dimensions. Still trying to figure out why I'm experiencing this.
