Ranger EX FPV RTF W/Battery, Charger, 2D Gimble

The sticks on the transmitter feel awful, but it works! I mainly just bought this for the airframe. Still a pretty good price. With such a huge wingspan and flies so stable even in windy condition with my Pixhawk flight controller. I was short one control linkage so the first few flights were without flaps/spoilers so I had to have a couple hundred foot long runway because it came in like a bullet. Then I tip stalled it as it was too tail-heavy. Adjusted the CG and the next flight I tried to see how fast I could get it going in a dive and the tail plane was loose so it started to buffet (and disconnected the elevator control rod :'| ) and I slammed into a dirt road doing at least 40 mph. Exploded a battery, tore the hinges on all control surfaces and surprisingly only damaged the insides which I put back together with some hot glue and laser cut new plywood. Flight times are great too!

I have a few questions regarding this aircraft. (Of course I really don't need one, I fly just fine on my own. But my coverman might like this. He used to fly fixed wing aircraft. 1) Does this have GPS guidance or is it line of sight RC? (I understood that the FAA does not allow GPS guidance.) 2) If RC, what is the range....best. 3) If RC is lost will it automatically return? 4)What is the max altitude...not the regulatory limit of 400 feet but the potential that the aircraft is capable? I am surprised this is for a beginner. Tale draggers are not as easy for take offs and landings are nose wheel aircraft. I will have to fly around and see one of these in the air!
