Had a lot of long sessions, and the chair was never uncomfortable.... But it was never really comfortable either. It started to fall apart after year 2.
Also the included "pillow" could identify as a weapon.
I have had this chair for years. Overall the actual fabric and materials have held up perfectly. The chair looks brand new and I have had many gaming or development sessions that last over 8 hours. That being said this chair is stiff. Never really broke in for me. I've had many points where I dream about my ergonomic chair my company has at work. This chair, while looks great, just does not do the trick of being comfortable. I am ready to move on to an ergo chair and while my buddy needs a new chair I dont think I would sell this or recommend it to him. Overall if you MUST have a gaming chair its pretty great for what it is and looks nice. However please consider getting some ergonomic chair that will save you and your back over time.
Good as a gaming chair to fit in the racing stands and with wheels, shift lever, and pedals. Not so good for long term use. Ergonomics still needs some improving.
Worst quality chair ever. This is the second gaming style chair that I have purchased. The other was the Arozzi Verona, which was similar in price on Massdrop. In terms of quality of materials and comfort, if the Arozzi, which isn't even a high end chair, is about an 8, then this chair is about a 2.
First of all, it came with multiple rips in the leather, but I needed a chair right away and it just wasn't worth the effort or the wait time to get replacement.
The first time I adjusted the back of the seat to go as far back as possible, something snapped. From that point forward, the back has been incapable of locking meaning that it follows my back depending on how far back or forward I lean with no support.
Now, it's completely falling apart. When I lean back, I feel like the entire chair is going to topple over. And it squeaks every time I even slightly move. It has only been around three months since the time of purchase. And no, I did not break it because I was too heavy for it to support my weight. I am female and 5'5 and 120 pounds.
The armrests also feel cheap and clunky like a budget Office Max chair, even if were not falling apart.
For reference - I'm 5'11 and 155lbs and I spend 12+ hours a day in a chair. This is my review after 3 months. I have since discontinued the use of this chair.
I saw all these 5 star reviews and figured what the hell, for $150 I'll take a gamble. I'm sorry I did. This chair is ABSOLUTELY horrible. This chair might be fine for some occasional sitting, but to anyone that spends 8+ hours a day in a chair AVOID THIS ONE LIKE THE PLAGUE. No amount of tinkering can get this chair to comfortable state.
Cons:
The flat back of this chair really constricts your neck movement. Your neck will become incredibly stiff after a couple hours.
The dimensions of this chair cause your chest to sink into the chair leading to serious lumbar issues.
The fabric is terrible, the seat started rippling after a month of use.
The arm rests are hard as a rock, almost no give. Your elbows will hate life.
The foam is VERY stiff. Unless you weight 200lbs+ you will not find much cushion.
The included lumbar and neck pillows are a joke as another reviewer commented. They are hard as a rock.
The hardware needs loctite, the side mounting screws WILL back out over time leading to back wobble.
The only positives I can give about this chair (and it's not even the chair) is that the shipping was very quick going from coast to coast and the color scheme is subtle.
If you spend any serious amount of time in a chair - DO NOT GET THE RAPIDX FERRINO. My $120 Staples chair offers much more comfort.
Very easy to put together! It was in perfect condition. The chair is comfortable and provides a lot of support. It’s not as cushiony as a really soft office chair; it’s meant to provide support and allow for extended use. I bought two, one for me and one for my girlfriend, and we love them. And also, they’re build to last.
It's only been a month, but I'm really happy so far. I got the deal on the Red/Yellow chair (Ferrari Colours!) and it looks and feels great. My wife doesn't mind the colour of the chair. Assembly was easy - I did it by myself and took my time.
