I have the original Kraken for PC and I have this one that I got on sale from Razer this year for $150. I love the original Krakens for gaming only. They are ok for music, but they were specifically tuned for gaming (hearing footsteps, etc).
These Kraken's, I regretted buying just for sound quality. I'm not an audiophile but I love good sound. I don't believe they are not audiophile headphones by any stretch of the imagination. My Vmoda's m100 sound better. For fit, they are ok for me and don't feel particularly tight on my head when I first put them on (I'm 6'5") but they do get uncomfortable after more than an hour. (I use it at work). Looks, they are amazing. I get more comments about these headsets at work more than any other. They do look great and I am fashion conscious.
Value at this price (not the $300 price) I would say they are an good value if you have no other headset and are fashion consious or want to stand out. They look really good. You get a hardcase and multiple cords. But if you value sound or better bang for your buck, then there are other choices out there.
