Can we see a sample of the writing? I usually like a fine nib rather than medium, so I'd be interested in seeing samples.

The Jennings has more to offer than its crystal adornment. Personally, I favor the utilitarian aspect of Regal fountain pens, since all their pen bodies are hefty brass and the nibs they use have offered me reliable performance with no tuning needed. Plus, they use my favorite shade of turquoise. :)
So far we have dropped a few models that don't have any bling, like the Montgomery model: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/regal-montgomery and the Author Series: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/regal-authors
By the way, we have confirmed with the manufacturer that they use 100% authentic Swarovski crystals. For those who don't know, these man-made gems are made in Austria using quartz, sand, and minerals - the exact proportions of which has remained a company secret for generations.

I will admit that I'm into pens for their functionality, Yet another generic Irridium tip Germany - which purely means the iridium tipping was made in Germany - does nothing for me, however nice it is.
(It's likely that in this case the nib is made by Jowo or Bock the two big German manufacturers (who make some really nice high end nibs), but the quality of nib is dependent solely on how much the manufacturer of the pen was willing to cough up per nib.
The Pelikan m600 drop (currently going on) is worth more than 10 generic pens to me personally (and of course this is all purely a personal viewpoint), and therefore is "cheaper" than all of these low end pen drops.
Of course we all start somewhere, but if you're looking for a cheaper fountain pen, I would definitely go for one of the Lamy drops, or the Pilot drops. As functional pens they tend to be better out of the box than a generic nibbed pen that is all about looks.
(Just my 2 cents worth).
