as long as you got some good honing skills, this will do that its advertised to do. you can turn a pretty beat blade to like new finish.

Even a novice can get a razor sharp edge.
I would have given this five stars, but I believe the stone provided were mislabeled and the fine stone is marked as "medium" and vice verse.

Nicely designed; not that newbie friendly
I'm a beginner regarding knives. The stones were nicely labeled so it's easy to recognise which one is course or fine. However, there's no angle guide (which a newbie would really appreciate). The other drawback would be the form factor. It looks truly pleasant but quite difficult to store it away in a toolbox without damaging it.

This didn't come with a 'Custom wooden box' as stated in the description. The quality of the wood holder is poor. It has splinters on the ends. Also, the grits in the product description are confusing. I'm not sure if this will ruin my already sharp knives. I waited 8 weeks for this to arrive.
