I ended up with a pair of chocolate brown roughouts w/ a Sestriere sole. I purchased directly from Ron. These are *not* over-rated. They fit my wide foot very well: I'm a 7.5E Brannock and ordered a 7.5. They are snug but comfortable. Finish is flawless: nicer than, say, my Allen Edmonds, or Loakes. At these prices, I wouldn't buy a boot from another manufacturer.
The group's bulk order arrived earlier to our warehouse in New Jersey and many of the individual packages have already shipped back out. However, upon taking inventory of everything received, our team was made aware of a backorder affecting a small handful of units. Rest assured, we've reached back out to the vendor to resolve this hiccup and expect to have the remaining units in our warehouse shortly.

I received my Reverso Roughout Black 9.5 on Tuesday. I have worn them a few times, still breaking them in but they are very comfortable, stylish and fit true to size (I wear size 9-9.5US/43.5 European in Havana Joe's, Mephisto, Clarks). They're comfortable with dress socks as well as thicker/warmer Smartwools, so the sizing is perfect. I've already had a few people comment on their looks. Very satisfied with this drop.
@IanAnderson these are my first pair of roughout footwear so I'm wondering about recommended treatment/protectant/care/cleaning. Thanks.
bgavNot too happy with the included laces, they were extremely long, too thin & weak, after only a couple times wearing they were getting frayed and about to fail. I got these http://a.co/envq2wI in 40" length as replacements for those interested, they're much more durable, lace through the small eyelets without a problem, and are a more suitable length.
bgavThanks. I got in on the last drop but have only worn my boots ~20 times and the laces are already broken. The edges of the hooks the laces wrap around are sharp and cut through the laces pretty quickly. I just tried putting my boots on and when I pulled on one of the laces it broke, so I came here looking for suggestions.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Rider Boot Co. Dundalk Reverso Leather Boots and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 12/16.
We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/6.

Can you tell me more about the difference in the soles between the two versions of the shoe: reverso/roughout and smooth? It looks like the smooth leather version has a more rugged sole, potentially taller even, than the reverso/roughout. Is the smooth leather version more suitable to outdoor/harsh weather use? Will one last longer than the other?
zensamuelI have a pair with the normal dianite style sole - the non lugged version available in this sale. Mine are very durable, showing minimal wear after ~50 wears. I have a bit of heel edge wear but that is normal for my shoes due to my gate. I can't speak to the lugged sole on the smooth leather versions, although I would say that it is for sure more suitable for hard weather. That said, the design of these boots is pretty sleek and I personally feel that the thick lugged sole isn't as ideal of a fit for the shape of the boot. But that's just my opinion. These are really nice boots, can't go wrong either way, I just ordered my second pair, the black reverso.
I can't tell are the Sestriere soles entirely rubber or combination of leather with rubber bumps in them?
Also, I wear size 9.5 Frye's but with Frye not really as good as they used to be might get these - would they be the same fit?
RyanFromGDSESestriere soles are full rubber, like Dainite.
Hard to give sizing advice based on that, my best advice is to figure out your Brannock size and go with that.
