From Rohrer & Klingner, a German company that’s been making ink for 125 years, the SketchINK füllhaltertinte—or fountain pen inks—come in a variety of colors, each one waterproof and lightfast. Designed for use in stylographs, they work just as well with quills and brushes Read More
I have exactly those same inks and experiences. I now use the R&K Super5 inks only when I know I will be able to use them up quickly and then must clean out the pen promptly. Lucky for me the Noodlers pens are easy to pull apart. I had to not only soak the parts, but also scrub the feed with a toothbrush. Lexington Gray and Kaweco Smoky Grey are no problem and I had been enjoying the platinum lavender black (runs a vivid pink wash when wetted but leaves the black line behind) and khaki black (barely runs a pale tan wash). Sailor blue black tends to dry up slightly in the nib but I don't think it's clogging.
kruthikarshankarI'm waiting for my shipment to arrive but I have the grey (Thea) and it's performed great. I have it in a cheap pen just in case but it's been fine. Make sure the pen has a good seal in the cap, though.
Received my batch and I am very pleased with these inks. I dropped some water on the test writing and dabbed the excess water with tissue, there's no smear at all! I did leave them a few minutes, but I think they dried in 5-8 seconds? cant remember) For the test I used Faber Castell Art Sketch Pad and they didn't feather badly. The inks has a slight smell though.
I hope there are more color selections for them.... I regret buying the Lilly one, it looks rather dirty green to me.
Cyber6I'm hearing lots of good things from fountain pen users in the various groups on Facebook. Sure, they may be a bit more cloggy than other inks, but probably no more so than say, Platinum Carbon Black. The people I've heard from who are using them say they are fabulous...but a little smelly. I can't hardly wait until I get mine in (probably) early May!!
