jealous57I HAVE found that my Worksharp (or any judiciously-applied belt sander) can put an edge on anything. Even Havarti-grade mystery steel. The only question is how long it'll stay sharp... And how many times you can do it before you don't have any knife left!
DaedIt has been my experience that mystery steels that can be sharpened to a razor edge will keep that edge indefinitely. At least, until you start trying to cut something. When a knife is advertised with stainless or surgical steel, I don't even look at other specs or the price, if I have to search for that. If this knife is 440A with a good heat treatment, then I would certainly considered it a good deal. I have several Chinese equivalents, 7Cr17, that do get sharp and keep the edge like Google protects your confidential information. I looked it over and I guess I thought it was all right . All right in a sort of a limited way for a cheap knife.
